Pre-Implementation Question Set

The purpose of this survey is to determine whether the GIFRÖST solution will be able to fully operate on the selected client databases.

General Questions​

  1. Vendor / Version / Standard (if applicable) of the Source Database
    (e.g., Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL 15, MS SQL Server 2022)

  2. Vendor / Version / Standard (if applicable) of the Target Environment
    (e.g., PostgreSQL 16, Snowflake)

  3. Do the source databases currently use logical replication?
    (e.g., MSSQL Server – CDC Tables, PostgreSQL – Logical Replication, Oracle – Supplemental Logging)

  4. How many tables are replicated from the source database?

  5. Are there tables in the source database without primary keys?

  6. Are foreign keys required in the target environment?

  7. Will transformations be applied during replication?

  8. What is the final number of replication pipelines?

  9. Approximate number of changes per second (in thousands) for replicated tables (if known)
